Allison Behrend is an artist, creator, and performer who graduated in May 2025 from Kennesaw State University with a BA in Modern Dance. During her time at Kennesaw State, she worked under choreographers such as Andrea Knowlton, Tristan Griffin, and Autumn Eckman. Her passion for dance was originally showcased through her choreography in productions presented by Augusta, Georgia’s Greenbrier High School theater troupe, The Pack Players. Musicals such as Addams Family, Curtains, and The Little Mermaid have all won her awards at the regional and state levels.  Allison was nominated for Best Overall Choreography in the Georgia High School Musical Theater Awards, The Shuler Hensley Awards, for her work in Rodgers and Hammerstein’s Cinderella (2019) and Carousel (2021). She has choreographed for Kane and Company Dance Productions under the direction of Kelly Kane. Solos, such as What You Need, have been awarded “Outstanding Choreography” and 1st place in the 13-15 age division at Platinum National Dance Competition. Furthering her passion post-grad, she attended The American Dance Festival Summer Dance Intensive and was the sole recipient of the Gerri Houlihan Scholarship Award. Allison is continuously striving to cultivate dance spaces and expand her creative palette, and she is ecstatic to absorb and contribute to the space as a 2025-26 Atlanta Contemporary Dance Company team member.
